Stephen Singer, President Emeritus, Merchants Fleet Management – If you live in or around Greater Manchester, the name Stephen Singer will ring a bell. Most likely you have come to know Stephen one of two ways: based on the family company, Merchants Auto and Merchants Fleet (previously Merchants Motors), or through Stephen’s generosity and commitment to the community. As President Emeritus of the family business, Stephen works hard to uphold the family tradition, established by his father when the doors to Merchants Motors first opened in 1962, to provide its customers with a quality product and superior service. However, equally as important to the company is its position within the community. Stephen sits alongside his siblings on the Merchants Charitable Contributions Committee and the Singer Family Foundation Board. He spends the majority of his personal time volunteering in the community and chairing many local events. The health and welfare of the Greater Manchester community benefits significantly from the many organizations that Stephen aligns himself with, including but not limited to American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Families in Transition, UpReach Therapeutic Riding Center, New Horizons of NH Inc., the St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral Glendi Festival, Special Olympics of NH, International Institute of New England, Child and Family Services, The Palace Theatre, SEE Science Center, Chabad of NH, and the Bob Baines Blarney Breakfast. One organization Stephen established is the Gail Singer Memorial Blood Drive, the largest blood drive in the country. Stephen takes his community work very seriously and is committed to enhancing the lives of others to make this world a better place.
