Joining Jack and Dr. Deborah as another Mover and Shaker is Nick Vailas, CEO and founder of Bedford Ambulatory Surgical Center (BASC). Mr. Vailas has made it his mission to bring community wellness and access to affordable health care to people across New Hampshire. As a life-long entrepreneur, he has founded and co-founded several organizations including BASC, Compass Healthcare Advisers, Apple Therapy Centers, and Safe Sports Network. He also served as New Hampshire’s Health and Human Services commissioner in 2003 and launched an annual intrastate high-school football all-star contest to benefit the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. His contribution and impact in the state of New Hampshire have earned him the Granite State Award from Plymouth State University.
